UK Government wants greater renewable energy use

Last year we witnessed the historic COP21 agreement, where 195 countries recognised the need to reduce carbon emissions and set a goal of limiting global warming. It revived hopes of the world coming together to finally overcome its reliance on harmful non-renewable energy sources. Whilst the agreement is a huge boost to the environmental cause it still requires individual governments taking decisive action to implement change. Therefore we’re pleased to hear the UK Government is pledging to do more to increase the proportion of renewable energy used to heat the nation’s buildings and fuel its cars. The plans are detailed in a new report and all the key points are highlighted over at Bioenergy News.
