Setting the standard

Setting the standard

It is with great pleasure that I can share that Rural Energy has successfully qualified for ISO 9001 and 14001 certification. So what does that mean?

ISO 9001:2008 and 14001:2004 are internationally renowned standards that uphold quality levels in almost all technology and manufacturing sectors across the globe. Set out by the world’s largest developer of voluntary international standards, businesses must meet the highest level of standards in the provision of quality products and services as well as minimising impact on the environment to qualify.

After going through the comprehensive assessment, Rural Energy’s service offering was found to meet with the high standards, which means our customers receive additional assurance that they will receive an industry leading service.

Our recent success in gaining ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditation is testament to our dedication to offering a market leading service and adhering to industry regulation. As we promote the economic and environmental benefits of biomass technology we felt it was only right that we practice what we preach by pursuing these standards.

Amazingly, we managed to achieve joint certification in just 27 days, passing the comprehensive United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) certification audit with flying colours with the help of business development and quality management company Heron Standardise.

Achieving ISO certification for both ISO 9001 and 14001 sets us apart from industry rivals. It demonstrates our commitment to our customers, the quality of our products and services, to reducing our environmental impact and the continuous improvement of our biomass processes and practices. ISO certification should reassure our customers that we are one of the UK’ leading biomass distributors and installers and can consistently deliver biomass heating systems, regardless of their size, type and end user.
